Melange: Ann Arbor’s Premier Catering Undestination…

Well, I’m taking a little poetic license with the title today. But if one considers the intent of the word cater, (providing food and service to a specific location) and the typical assumption that a business is the destination, the two together may be oxymoronic. Melange is providing it’s magnificent food and fine dining service to the location of your choice, alas, undestination!

Speaking of destinations here are Chef Chris and General Manager Laura at the University of Michigan Event Planners Showcase.

Melange has provided catering services big and small, glamorous and modest, to many unique destinations. Often food service businesses specialize in restaurant service or catering, being that they have very different nuances and techniques of preparation.  So how is Melange able to do both at such a high level of excellence? Well it goes back to the picture right here. When Chris and Laura came to Melange 1 year ago (Happy Anniversary!) they brought with them a tremendous resume of both fine dining and catering experience. In fact, they have thirteen years of combined catering service, along with years of management in numerous Ann Arbor fine dining restaurants.

Recent events Melange has catered include the wedding of two long time fine dining restaurant employees at the Stone Arch in Saline. What a blast and what an honor to be able to serve people on their most important day!

Melange had fun this summer catering food and fun to the Ann Arbor Top of the Park in conjunction with the Ann Arbor Observer. Did your top of the Park experience include sushi, duck nachos and sushi platters? Come to think of it have any of your (or mine for that matter) catered experiences had such awesome food? No? Me neither! Now I know who to book next time around.

Melange has so many upcoming events I could not begin to list them all. However Chris and Laura did specifically mention excitement for a  HUGE UofM tailgate party, and ohh my my a New Year’s Eve Wedding at the Ann Arbor Arts  Center!
